Chateau de Vincennes

I am still in Paris but in a different part of the city now, I am staying in a beautiful apartment in a part called Vincennes which is also kind of a suburb of Paris. This part is more busy beacause it's only couple of metro stops away from central Paris but still feels kind of homey. It's full of families and children, even in the evenings there are still kids outside playing on the streets and families going for walk or sitting in the restaurants outside. It is nice to see , I like this kind of life with fruit shop on the corner with amazing deliciouss fruits, coffee shops and restaurants, people sitting outside and eating or having a coffee or just going for a family walk. It feels nice, summer in the city.

Not far from my apartment here, there is a castle Chateau de Vincennes. I took a walk with Alex around and inside of it today in the pram. It felt magical. We still have couple of days left here so I need to make the most of it.I have mixed feelings about leaving Paris, I thought I would be happy to go home and I am but a part of me feels sad to be leaving this place.

A trip to Brittany

My story with Brittany began 5 years ago when I moved to the city called Brest. I spent two years living in this region and I must say the beaches are stunning. I have some really great memories there so going back is always exciting. I must admit though I am not a big fan of the rain and it does rain quite often there. Being close to the ocean it can be quite windy and rainy. But on a sunny day you might feel like you're in heaven.

I love the traditional Breton architecture with blue gates and shutters.

The city of Brest is right by the ocean and has amazing views from the castle. Although most of the traditional architecture has been destroyed during the war, it has been rebuilt and serves as a military base on the harbour. It's fun spotting a submarine here and there.

A trip to Nancy

Today I spent a day in Nancy and finally I got so many things done that I planned to do for a while. Although it was not as crowded as I thought it would be, the sales are a big thing in France (maybe because they only happen twice a year)  I could feel the pressure in the shops building up.
Overall it was a good trip and even though it was freezing cold I enjoyed it.

I got to visit the main church then some of my favorite shops like Caroll or Undeuxtrois. The big cities have a magical feeling in the winter with all the Christmas decorations. Do you know what I mean?

Obzrela som si hlavny kostol a potom niektore z mojich oblubenych obchodov ako Caroll alebo Undeuxtrois. Velke mesta maju v zime carovnu atmosferu so vsetkymi vianocnymi vyzdobami. Viete co myslim?

I got to buy some macarons in Paul the famous French bakery. I still have some saved for tomorrow (my macaron obsession is on the rise again).

Pochutnala som si na makaronkach v Paul znamej Francuzskej cukrarni. Este stale mam nejake aj na zajtra (moj makaronkovy osial znova zacina) .

We even got to have some fun on the baby carousel :) ! Alexandre had a fun day too i think, well judging by how tired he was (he's asleep already), although he hates going to the shops with me (such a boy).
Good night all!

Dobru noc vam vsetkym!
